Back 2 Work. Hooray! Photography from an ongoing project with MAPP, photographing their lovely workspaces and headshots of their 700 + and growing workforce.
Shoot last week at Number 10 Downing Street, campaigning with Versus Arthritis policy team
The Salad days is my first film, photographed between the first two UK lockdowns. With the current situations and restrictions in place, the allotment has become the perfect project for me to get to know my fellow plotholders. The allotment has become a haven for our community, providing a means of escape, quiet nature, companionship and a great sense of community.
The project encompasses interviews with the plotholders and stories about the history and up-keep of the allotments.
Royal Paddocks Allotments: Portrait project between lockdowns of the potholders on my allotment. Next year we will be celebrating 100 years of the royal warrant granted to the folk of Hampton Wick to grow their own. We managed to organise a shoot over the last Indian summer weekend of 2020, to start collecting imagery for the book and the archive.
Step in time – step in time! Recent advertising photography from a commission for The Royal Museums Greenwich. Encompassing The Royal Observatory, The Meridian Line, Cutty Sark and Queens House.
I watched the BBC's Britain's top 25 Olympic Moments over the weekend.
I started blubbing at around number 24 and a half.
I've managed to hold it together, as a total fan, during my career, to photograph these iconic, awe-inspiring British Olympians.
Lockdown Calla Lilies, from my garden. Photographed in isolation, lit by the May Super Flower Moon, at two minutes to midnight.
A serious game of bridge, accompanied by a delightful cream tea. Location: the village hall in Goring on Thames. A charity fundraiser I was asked to photograph recently for Versus Arthritis.
Hats off to all the amazing runners of yesterdays London marathon. Always an inspirational, emotional day. Here is a selection of images from Team Versus Arthritis.
Hats off to all our GPs. These images were taken at The Core Skills educational workshop. Arranged by Versus Arthritis for Gp's to get an interactive, hands-on experience, working together and examining each other to perfect their diagnosis of Arthritis, for the benefit of their patients.
Photography from a recent suite of images for Public Health England, these photos were commissioned to go alongside a campaign to help teenagers face the challenges they experience every day.
Merry Christmas one and all.
This year I've decided to go digital, and donate the money I would have spent on printing and posting my Christmas cards to The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is there for people in need this Christmas. I went along to a local Salvation Army church to photograph their Christmas service. I'm hopeful they can get some value from the images I shot and donated to them. If you'd like to donate too here is a link: https://tinyurl.com/y8wsdt4f
I love photographing portraits, and I love taking super wide cityscapes. A recent commission for OC&C strategy consultants meant I could do both.
I was commissioned by top brand consultants Good Creative, to fly to Isreal and find and photograph the personality of 3d printing magicians Stratasys. Seeing first hand the future and the possibilities of this technology was jaw-dropping.
I was privileged to be invited along to see an open day of world-class ballerina students rehearsing. I, of course, took my camera and was blown away by their grace, strength and serenity. Their quest for perfection is an example to us all.
I Recently photographed the Tovertafel (Magic Table) while working with LifeCare Residences. The Magic Table stimulates the physical, mental and social wellbeing of people with dementia. Art direction by Pink Green Studio @alzheimerssoc @DementiaUK

I'm always returning to Margate with my camera, due to the joy and wonder I remember from coming here for my holidays as a child.
Margate is a classic British seaside town that has had its ups and downs. It still retains its magic, but it can be difficult to see sometimes, unless you really look.
On what seemed like the last day of summer, a crazy day of weather ended with some magic hour late light. Margate revealed itself to be as spectacular as I'd always imagined.
Four ads for a current global campaign for amazingly interesting, innovative, carbon neutral, inspiring business, Interface. Beautifully produced by We are Good London. Using bespoke, commissioned, portrait photography by me! James Bell Photography.
I have a new website! Much like the old website, but with more bells and whistles. I'm talking to you from my new blog. You can now view all my images, on your phone, on your tablet, possibly your watch...It's all going on...Feedback to me, share with me, hey, lets go for a pint!
I was commissioned to shoot a “perfect perspective” photograph of the front of Taj Stores in brick lane. It’s a double fronted Asian grocers and one of the oldest in the UK. The photograph was then to be displayed life size at The Norton Folgate thoroughfare in East London in a sort of tromp l'oeil fashion.
VERY excited to be shortlisted for this year's Association of Photographers awards, with this series from Dreamland in Margate.
